What's become a major day in the Seattle book calendar arrives with tickets for keynote speakers Reza Aslan and Michael Chabon (the latter in conversation with Sherman Alexie) already (freely) distributed, but overflow seating may be available on the day of the festival. Meanwhile, tickets (free and required) for general sessions featuring over 40 speakers and a screening of the film, Band of Sisters, are currently available. Saturday University Asia Crossings: Travel Accounts Through Asia's History Lecture Series, presented by the GARDNER CENTER FOR ASIAN ART AND IDEAS, in partnership with the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON JACKSON SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES and ELLIOTT BAY BOOK COMPANY. This spring's ten-week series featuring an array of speakers from near and far on Asian travelers brings Stewart Gordon, Senior Research Fellow in South Asian Studies at the University of Michigan, here to speak on "When Asia was the World." Individual lecture tickets are $% for SAM members, $10 for nonmembers. Series tickets are $43 for SAM members, $86 for nonmembers. The Seattle Asian Art Museum is at 1400 E.
