CAL KINNEAR Friday, September 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Seattle poet Cal Kinnear, whose day job is administrative director of Washington Lawyers for the Arts, reads this evening from his new book, A Walk in Bardo (from Yakima's Blue Begonia Press). A Walk in Bardo, named for the Tibetan Buddhist liminal space between lives, refers to journeys both inward and outward, obsessions, dreams and with 'the communal fantasies of the commons' psyche. "Poetry works when it lights a way, as a lighthouse might ... Such poetry infuses the spirit of Cal Kinnear's Bardo." - Russell Arthur Lockhart. Cal Kinnear's poetry has appeared in Crab Creek Review and A Fine Madness.
