Presented by RICHARD HUGO HOUSE. Seattle poet and fiction writer Karen Finneyfrock is a fixture on the local spoken word and literary stages and a beloved teacher and mentor of writers of all ages. She's celebrating the launch of her debut young adult novel, The Sweet Revenge of Celia Door (Viking Children's Books) tonight at the Hugo House, where she has for many years read her work and helped nurture a venue for writers of all ages. "Karen Finneyfrock is an amazing poet so it is no surprise that her first novel is poetic. It is also hilarious, exciting and as painful as anybody's teenage years. Read it please." - Sherman Alexie. The Richard Hugo House is located at 1634 Eleventh Avenue, just North of Pine St. on Capitol Hill. More about their projects, classes and events at www.hugohouse.org.
